Young ladies behind the counter were nice and professional. Dr. Khan was and is awesome. You felt he really cared which I have not felt in the 2 years I've been injured. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars was the hard time I had finding it.

Pain Dr office. Staff is friendly and professional. Lots of paper work to be filled out. Office was clean and neat. Masks on Staff at all times and required for patients to enter. Will be going back for follow-up appointments.
What is a stellate ganglion block?
Stellate ganglion block techniques coax your brain and body to reconnect and mend abnormal pain conditions you’ve experienced. They work by anesthetizing stellate ganglion nerves and by blocking the sympathetic activity to other parts of the body.
The physician will inject safe doses of anesthetics and steroids into your stellate ganglion (near the voice box). Then, the medication spreads in the body and alleviates pain in your head, arms, chest, and neck.
It’s only one part of our multi-disciplinary healing that doesn’t get you addicted to pills or drugs.
Stellate ganglion blocks can be used to treat:
- COVID-19 symptoms, including parosmia
- Phantom limb pain
- Brachial Plexus injuries
- Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy
- Peripheral vascular disease
- Causalgia (nerve injury)
- Herpes zoster infection (shingles)
- Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Type 1 or II
How is a stellate ganglion block administered?
Receiving a stellate ganglion block is a very simple procedure. The physician sends the treatment to the injection site, monitor your side effects, and have you out the door on the same day as the procedure.
1. Injection
Pain specialists lie you down with intravenous medication to calm you down. Then, they’ll inject the local anesthetic with the help of an X-ray or ultrasound for accuracy purposes. Stellate ganglion blocks don’t take longer than 30 minutes.
2. Recovery
Afterward, the caring staff checks your vital signs in the recovery room. If you’re stable and the procedure was a success, we’ll send you home to enjoy pain relief. Injections and recovery are seamless without much hassle.
