A sacroiliac joint steroid injection, also known as a sacroiliac joint injection or SI joint injection is a medical procedure used to relieve pain and inflammation in the sacroiliac joints. The sacroiliac joints are located in the pelvis and connect the sacrum (the triangular bone at the base of the spine) to the ilium bones of the pelvis. These joints play a crucial role in supporting the upper body and transferring forces between the spine and the legs.
